Day 1: Arrival Day. Enjoy a low key afternoon in Turin – explore some of the city’s parks and sights, shop in the local hot spots, or sip espresso and people watch at the corner café.
Day 2: Take a scenic mountain drive to one of the region’s famous monasteries. Explore the national park of Valle Pesio on a morning walk. Spend the afternoon soaking in the thermal pools at Lurisia. End the day with an authentic Italian family dinner hosted by the Marro and Martini families.
Day 3: Enjoy a full day touring the Piemonte wine country. Tasting opportunities will include chocolate, cheese, truffles and regional red wines at local producers and wineries. A Panini picnic lunch will be shared in a scenic spot with breathtaking views. Finish the evening enjoying a “slow food” dinner at an excellent local restaurant.
Day 4: Begin the day in Cuneo for the widely popular Tuesday Mercado, where you will get a true taste of a local Italian street market and can shop till you drop. After lunch, explore the ancient village of Saluzzo and then travel to the 17th century villa of Elma Schena and Adriano Ravera, authors of many cooks books and head chefs for our evening exploration in the culinary arts.
Day 5: Pack your bags...we are heading to the beach! A scenic drive after breakfast will take us to the coast to spend the day visiting several picturesque seaside towns along the Italian Riviera. In the evening, we will feast on a specially catered seafood dinner as we watch the sunset over the sea.
Day 6: A short drive down the coast will take us to the historically rich city of Genoa – a bustling port city that showcases the best of old and modern Italy. Join for an optional walking tour in the morning to get acquainted with all that Genoa has to offer and then spend the rest of the day exploring the city’s harbor, renowned aquarium, cathedrals, palaces, promenades, and more.
Day 7: Relax and enjoy a free day on the Italian Riveria where you can shop, stroll, sunbathe, sip café, taste foccia (a local specialty) and enjoy whatever else your heart desires.
Day 8: After breakfast, we will continue to our final destination of Genoa, a central hub where you can continue your Italian adventure by train or bus, or fly back home.

"My Authentic Italy trip was truly joyful and memorable. The just-right group size was comfortably intimate, yet diverse, led by enthusiastic and informed guides and allowing for a cultural experience ‘as a local’. The culinary discoveries and enjoyment alone was worthwhile (foodie alert!). If your idea of good travel is fun and enlightening with no hassles, then you'll love World Beyond Tours!
